Previous Windows | |
Previous Window Information: | Date Installed: 1872 - Date Removed: 1905 Windows 01, 02, 03 and 04 all had identical grey patterned windows when the Chancel was opened in 1872. 02 and 04 were replaced with the current stained glass in 1905. 01 and 03 (either side of the E window) had been replaced with clear glass by around 1920. |
Previous Window Craftsman: | George E Cook, Maker |
Previous Window Information: | Date Installed: 1825 - Date Removed: 1872 The original E window of 1825 was in the wall which was opened up in 1872 to form the Chancel Arch. Its style was the same as the other large Georgian windows of the church, but possibly larger with 4 sets of lights instead of 3. Its heraldic glass was then moved to window 10 in the N Transept. |

PREVIOUS WINDOW 1872 to 1905
Partly reconstructed view with patterned windows in 01 & 03. They were replaced by plain glass, probably by 1920. Identical ones were in 02 and 04 until stained glass replaced them in 1905. | |||||

PREVIOUS WINDOW 1825 to 1872
Drawing of the original 1825 church, showing the E window on the extreme right, with 4 lights in each tier, although that might be a mistake. The same wall was opened up in the 1870s to form the Arch leading into the new Chancel. The glass from this window is now in window 10 in the N Transept. |
