Introduction to Stained Glass: | St Nicholas's church has two 20th century stained glass windows in the Chancel, both in memory of people who lived at the two largest houses in Little Horwood. However, the church also has another 8 windows which have glass which must date from the church's restoration in 1889. They all have a red border decoration, but set in an intriguing mix of some unusual tracery and patterns of decorative leadwork. Some of the windows are showing their age, but two have been restored in the early 21st century, so it is good to know that they are obviously appreciated by the parish. We have now included 6 of these 8 windows, which show all the different styles. |
